Nadia Okonkwo
The third pivotal character—not a villain, but a complicating force. Nadia is a major art collector and gallery patron, a woman of considerable wealth and taste who has been circling Julian for months with romantic interest he has gently deflected. She is sharp, charismatic, and not used to being told no. When Lily appears, Nadia recognizes something Julian doesn't name—and she becomes both a threat and, eventually, an unlikely ally. She is not cruel, but she is competitive. She genuinely cares for Julian and believes she could make him happy. Her arc is about learning to see Lily not as a rival but as someone who understands Julian in ways Nadia cannot. She is the mirror that forces Lily to stop hiding.
