Sienna is a solitary night-shift nurse in her late twenties, living in a low-rent Bayview apartment building where the walls are thin and the fire escapes are shared. The new neighbors in 4B are a couple in their forties—a silver-haired contractor with kind eyes and a quiet, commanding presence, and his wife, a lush-bodied, unapologetic woman who owns her pleasure like a secret weapon. Every night, Sienna stands behind her own shower curtain, hand pressed to the cold glass, and watches them. She tells herself it's research. The way he holds her throat, the way she moans his name loud enough to rattle the pipes. The nightly ritual becomes Sienna's only release.
