The Last Onmyoji: Seal
of the Spirit Warrior
In the neon-lit heart of modern Kyoto, where ancient shrines hide between convenience stores, Yuki is the last living onmyoji—a spirit-caller in a world that has forgotten its gods. His talismans seal demons, but his soul is empty. Then, during a forbidden ritual in the Fushimi Inari tunnels, he shatters a thousand-year-old seal and releases Kaito: a spirit warrior of impossible beauty and ancient rage, bound to Yuki by a contract neither of them wrote. Forced to hunt cursed relics across Japan—from the frozen temples of Hakone to the ghost-market beneath Shinjuku—the two clash over every step. Kaito is reckless, hungry, and remembers a world where onmyoji were butchers. Yuki is careful, lonely, and haunted by a prophecy he cannot read. But as old legends resurface and their fates intertwine, the tension between them shifts from antagonism to something far more dangerous: a slow, aching pull neither can name. And when the truth of their past lives emerges, they realize destiny didn't just reunite them—it bound them together long before they were born.
