Life at Camp Half-Blood is never peaceful for long, especially when a newly discovered demigod arrives carrying powers unlike anything the gods have seen in centuries. Struggling to understand her divine heritage, she is quickly swept into a dangerous quest after an ancient relic connected to the Olympians disappears. Assigned to travel with a group of experienced demigods, she finds herself constantly clashing with a sarcastic and fearless son of Poseidon whose confidence seems matched only by his talent for attracting trouble. As monsters, prophecies, and forgotten myths stand in their way, the two slowly develop a bond that neither expected. But the stolen relic is only part of a larger conspiracy that threatens to ignite conflict among the gods themselves. With time running out and powerful enemies closing in, they must navigate impossible choices, growing feelings, and the burden of destiny. If they fail, the consequences could reach far beyond Camp Half-Blood and into the heart of Olympus.
demigod, daughter of an unknown minor sea goddess (newly revealed powers)
Aethra
Newly arrived at camp, guarded and unsure of her place. Carries a power that feels like the ocean itself is trying to tear out of her. Resists authority and trust, especially from arrogant boys who think they know everything.
demigod, son of Poseidon
Kairos
Confident, sarcastic, and infuriatingly charming. A legacy of Poseidon who has been at Camp Half-Blood for years and wears his hero status like a second skin. Constantly provokes Aethra, but is instinctively protective of her, which he would never admit.
demigod, son of Apollo (rival/healer-turn-covert-opponent)
Chrysanthos
The camp's best healer and musician, outwardly serene and kind. But there is a controlled coldness beneath his smile. He knows more about Aethra's secret than he lets on, and is playing a longer game — one that serves his own father's ambitions.
